SICILY. Selinos. Circa 540-515 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 8.65 g). Selinon leaf; two pellets flanking the stem. Rev. Incuse square divided into twelve sections. Arnold-Biucchi Group I, 2. HGC 2, 1211. Selinus Hoard 33. SNG ANS 677-8. A very sharp and attractive example. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with minor scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
